BIOGRAPHY
Oriol Garcia (La Garriga, 1987). He is a clarinettist and dedicates himself to playing the clarinet and teaching those who want to learn how to play it. Between breaths and concerts, he enjoys writing stories, devising educational materials, running workshops for schools and… telling stories! Some of his stories have won the Premi Cavall Fort (2021) and the Premi Emili Teixidor (2023), among others. In libraries and bookshops, you may also come across some of his stories: La capitana Budell-Buit i el mariner Ulls de Falcó (Combel, 2021), Sona el violí! (Combel, 2022), Les tres pocions (Cruïlla, 2022), Contes Desconcertants (Combel, 2023), Mill el grill (Combel, 2023) or La butxaca (Cruïlla, 2023). He has also written scripts for performances and cantatas such as Deixalles en concert! (2021), Van de Big Band (2022) and Calda, la primera gota (2022). Ah!, and if you happen to leaf through El tatano or Cavall Fort, don’t be surprised to find one of his stories there!

Christian Inaraja (Vic, 1972). He is a Barcelona-based artist who works mainly on illustrated books and periodical publications. In addition to books, he has produced illustrations for posters, advertising, packaging, the press… In the field of cinema, he was co-director of the European Short Film Festival of Reus, FEC Festival, from its beginnings in 1998 until 2018. Throughout these years, the FEC Festival has been a benchmark for contemporary European short filmmaking. He is currently an Illustration teacher at the Escola d’Art ILLA in Sabadell and a member of the executive committee of IBBYCat. He has also served as vice-president of the Associació Professional d’Il·lustradors de Catalunya-APIC (2005–2012), member of the executive committee of the Consell Català pel Llibre Infantil i Juvenil – CLIJCat (2005–2012), and Illustration coordinator at the Escola d’Art ILLA (2000–2017). Since 2024, Inaraja has been co-director of the Vic Il·lustra illustration conferences and is a member of the scientific committee of the IBBY World Congress, which will take place in Barcelona in 2028.
