BIOGRAFIA
In 1896, the thirteen families of Tor registered in their name a mountain of 4,800 hectares, with a clause to preserve ownership: keeping the house open or, as the neighbours said, keeping the fire burning all year round. At that time, no one wanted to leave there, but over the years things changed: who would want to live in a hamlet without electricity, running water, or mobile phone coverage? After two deaths and years of legal battles, in 1995 a judge ruled that the mountain had a single owner: Sansa. Five months later, he was murdered.
Who killed Sansa? Carles Porta finally provides the witnesses and documentation that allow deliberation on this unsolved crime. And with the passion that has driven him to investigate this story for almost thirty years, he narrates in an exceptional tale some true events that have turned Tor into a mythical stage and, at the same time, into a metaphor for human history.
‘I dare to say that this is my story, the one most faithful to what I consider happened in Tor.’___Carles Porta
