EARTHBOUND CREATIONS is a social enterprise based in Sri Lanka aimed to minimize the environmental damage caused by the overuse and unsustainability of plastics, using only recycled paper to create its products.
Committed to helping their community, they have employed over 250 families, thus reducing the migration of women as labourers into towns & overseas. By employing homeworking artisans, they allow mothers, those with disabilities and the elderly to provide for themselves and their families in a rural environment.
The entire production process is eco-friendly & labour intensive, which is ideally suited for exploiting local talent ranging from unskilled to semi-skilled as well as skilled professionals while also creating a line of products which are now being exported to countries such as Italy, UK, USA, Australia, Qatar, Germany, Hong Kong, Maldives & the Netherlands.
